The trouble you’re going to have is you don’t want to rub down to far, because if you go through the lacquer it’ll show up even worse than the scratch will. So the idea is to rub it down as much as you possibly can do without going through and then let the compound do the rest of the work.
If you look at that, most of that scratch is gone, but it’s still there underneath. I’m not keeping it in one place, I’m moving it around, if you keep it in one place it’s like a tram-line going through there which isn’t what you want, you want it so it all feathers in nicely. So you work it over an area.
